British Enfield No.4 Mk1

 

British Enfield No.4 Mk1* in good to very good condition. The rifle was produced at the Long Branch Arsenal and is dated 1944. The rifle has the L-shaped duel aperture flip type back sight. The bore is bright and shiny with a hint of frost. The receiver, bolt, and stock have matching numbers. I am not sure on the rest of the parts. I cannot find any other numbers only stamps. I am not an expert on Enfields and I don’t really know what the stampings and cartouches on various parts of the rifle actually mean. Comes with a 1942 dated sling. Looks to be original. I cannot find an import mark in plain view but have not taken the rifle apart to check. C&R Eligible.
